That Was Sarcasm Honey, Calm Down Poem by Jayson Howard

That Was Sarcasm Honey, Calm Down

Lay in your bed alone.
Give me a decent goodbye.
For I, I could walk away from you so easily,
but I could also easily die.
It’s a shame you’re not so aesthetic,
so self absorbed like all the other girls in town.
It’s a shame you have a brain and the looks.
That was sarcasm honey, calm down.

How loud must I sing?
How long must I wait?
Oh darling, me and you,
it has to, it has to,
be fate.

I wander in the streets,
I wonder awake at night,
if I had to, wanted to,
get my words just right.
When I learn to spit them out,
you’ll be the first to know, I swear,
for you, I’ll always,
always be there.

Listen very closely darling.
I can no longer wait,
Oh darling, me and you,
it has to, it has to,
be fate.

For the brightest soul,
for the most lovely gal,
I’ll always admire you.
To the prettiest heart,
to the heartfelt smile,
without you I don’t what I’d do.
