The 2 Dimensional Man Poem by Joshua Wyatt

The 2 Dimensional Man

Rating: 5.0

You were a 2D man,
living in a 3D world.

You seemed normal on the surface,
but if someone dug deeper they would find nothing.
Not a soul, not a thing.
Nothing behind that fake smile of yours.

That worked with most people.
They don't dig deeper the the surface.
But once someone did....
That was the end of you.

If you dug deep deep inside that 2D man.
If you were patient and calm.
You would eventually find a 3D one.

You protected the 3D man.
You tried too hard and nearly killed him.

I told you to do all of this.
It was meant to be temporary.
You've done a good job.
I am so sorry.
You were never meant for this world.
And now it's the 3D mans turn
