(the) Aging Of An Image Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

(the) Aging Of An Image

Anyone in the business to market,
A service or product to profit from it.
Around the clock nonstop.
Is certainly not prioritizing,
Who is conservative.
Liberal, moderate or atheist.
Democrat, republican.
Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, gay or lesbian!
Coming through their doors.
To purchase what is offered.
With respect expected to them given.

Anyone successful in business knows,
A dollar received to achieve it earned...
Is the best vote to get,
In a materialistic society.
Based upon capitalism,
And impressions to make.
Done to buy shoes, clothes and 'things'.
Whether perceived a necessity or not.

And...
Will do this first to feed a thirst,
Teased by a variety of options.
On and in between holidays to celebrate.
Regardless who debates a way of life.
From self righteous positions,
Representing the best of deceptions.
For the sake and benefit of saving,
The aging of an image fading!
