The Beginning Of The Winter Poem by Cigeng Zhang

The Beginning Of The Winter

Rating: 4.0

Drifting in the sea the thousands of lanterns
O Yeah, from where drifting such a festival? !
Your lights must be among the silken lanterns
Can't wait to look for it - looking for a surprise
As I ever figure out your eyes among the stars
My heart chases up your light into the eternal

Drifting in the sea the thousands of lanterns
O Yeah, from where drifting such a festival? !

A very enigmatic poem, Cigeng. Beautiful. Well-worded. Enjoyed reading. Congrats. A perfect 10 for you. There is a poem of mine by name A Winter in Delhi. Can you read and offer your comments?

This is a delightfully tender poem. Those lanterns which are launched to float into the sky are so fragile and yet they prove to be remarkably sturdy. They become effortless symbols of human hopes or desires or passing thoughts. And there's more they give you (and to your reader, seeing this scene through your eyes) . Your friend has launched their lantern but you see it as if it were their eyes way above, perhaps looking down on you. It's a liberating thought. You exclaim MY HEART CHASES UP YOUR LIGHT INTO THE ETERNAL. This is amazing! A poem which began with with those fragile lanterns has achieved the permanence of THE ETERNAL. Only a sincere poet can work so much magic through her words!

I read your work. A deep symbolic poem I guess. (I couldn't figure the symbols out but enjoyed reading. A distinct quality of poetry is enjoying even when we don't understand it.) .
