This caffeine partnership that we share
Is dark and sweet and untimely lingering
Yet I cannot stop myself from having your company
For the comfort it offers is obsessively conflicting
There we are staring each other in the eye
With two cups of coffee, a score of smiles
And a short-lived conversation, beyond any worth
Brewed with a thin wisp of sweet white lies
So here I am admittedly in severe addiction
For the truth, with greatly a sense for it to strive
That your love has always been the best caffeine
Poured into the melancholic cup of my life

The feel good sensation has made caffeine a bosom friend to many. Lovely poem. Thanks for sharing
