I am a child
Who open my eyes
And get what I see
Who move my hips
When I hear music
Who eats
What I am being fed
Who climb to anything
That my feet could reach.
Most of all
I am a child
Who long for lullabies
During the night
Who longed for kisses
When mama’s not around
Who wears a deep hug
On cold, cold nights
Who grief for light
When darkness fill the night
So, I am a child
I wound
I bruise
I am hit
I am being laughed at
I fall
I bump on things
I cannot see
I am like a child
Who tried to scream it all out…
Or if I don’t
I close my door
And cry it in…
To Him I say,
“Father, I bear it all
Yet,
I’m still...
just a child from within! ”
close my door And cry it in… To Him I say, “Father, I bear it all Yet, I’m still... just a child from within! ” so well written....all appreciatiions for this sweet innocent heart with in which a cute child prevails who don't want to get out from that adorable age :) good dear keep it up...If you can spare some time do give a look to my collection and appreciate your remarks on my poems :) Thanks Priya.
Thanks. The child persona is worth engaging. Also it is good to be reminded that everyone is a child from within one way or the other.
