The Clean-Up Poem by Mark Hopwood

The Clean-Up

I think the storm is over
Leaving the aftermath to be cleaned up
Where do I start, what do I do?
To make my sky a bright blue.
I have to sort my life out
Of this I'm sure I know
I know I have to do something
But what it is just doesn't show.

I sat around for so long
Waiting for an answer to appear
Many did but most weren't to clear.
So I look to the future
In a retrospective kind of way
Its all well and good
As long as you don't run astray
Because then you end up in negativity
Which believe me, Is no place to be
There's no way out because that would be positive
And you can only die if you can't live.
