The Covid blizzard sweeps away
not alone the humans, but the lions,
shut into zoos and denied the natural air.
People good or bad, great or mean,
American or Indian, the snow-wind cares not.
Adult or old, man or woman, rich or poor
you can't get bail from its killing jail.
Doctors or politicians, anyone may be.
If one fails to keep one's wind-pipe clean,
the lung and heart jostled or hustled not
by a thick jam of sputum,
Oxymeters and medicines or injections
can't stop the death, unhonoured and unmourned!
