The Department Of Motor Vehicles (Dmv) Poem by Walterrean Salley

The Department Of Motor Vehicles (Dmv)

The long lines at the DMV
Everyone loved to hate.
Folks brought snacks and chairs—
Anticipating the wait.

To be the first in line
Was a divine clue
To know, undoubtedly,
That God had smiled on you.

But thanks to technology
For its amazing run.
There are no more long lines
And waiting in the sun.

I'm sure we all thank God
For the light of day;
Folks can renew their license
In a reasonable way.
