The Devil's Work Poem by Paula Glynn

The Devil's Work

Rating: 5.0

I hope the devil betrays them
As they do the devil's work
Their blood beneath their skin
Trapping them in a world of sin
The bible true in its ancient words
‘Thou shalt not kill'
The commandment forever true
The 10 commandments correct
So why you bully your fool
Pray for yourself too.

I see them react
My mind to retract
That all consuming anger
That soul destroying anger
Knowing the pain of the kill
Where I once did the devil's work
But the devil betrayed me -
As he will you -
The devil the scorpion
With the vicious sting
That would kill even a queen and king
Prince and princess,

False religion
Mud and muck on the guilty,
No freeing white light
For the fools,
No freedom to fight
For the fools,
But God knows best
Himself freeing the fools
Into the glorious heaven above
A soul to celebrate and laugh with joy,

Heaven a place on earth
Where no one does the devil's work
For beautiful angels roam the stage
And never cry or feel hurt
Freed from the mud and muck
And wearing rainbow inspired clothes:
Clothes of red, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, orange,
Where their beauty and happiness shows
And - in the end - heaven is where everyone goes.

Devil traps the world of sin. Devil betrays and destroys others by his sinful action. Consuming anger a man goes down. The society should be protected from Devil's eyes. At present Corona Virus has threatened the world and the entire world is crying. We should be careful and protect the world. An amazing poem is very brilliantly penned.10
