The Doctrines Of Aseevagam, The Religion Of The Tamils. Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

The Doctrines Of Aseevagam, The Religion Of The Tamils.

Men and women are authors of their woe
and on God, who doesn't exist, why you blame so.
The calamities are the causes from our deeds
Which we do to realise all our greeds.
In all our acts, a major part chance plays
to make us fortunate or not in instant ways.
Animal sacrifice is a disgusting sin
To give it up, your efforts you have to begin.
The work we do by practice give us the name
and to assign castes causeless is a shame.
As the day and night gently alternates
Joy and sorrow succeed as lovely mates.
What is the use of conducting rituals
to satisfy God, whose presence is not on factuals?
It isn't our custom, the marriage of a child
Which makes further life fragile and wild.

Ceremonies from pre-birth to after death
of a man will not prolong his life and breath.
Are the temples for the priests, market places
to beg gold and silver for the grant of God's graces?
The doctrines of Aseevagam were the preachings
of great Tamil poets who've given moral teachings.
God isn't there for the humans to create,
but from the truth of evolution, we cann't deviate.
Idols, the Tamils didn't worship in the past;
the ways of worship changed under threat, fast.
The works in Tamil have Aseevagam truths
of universal thoughts which attract the youths.
Aseevagam is the place where the poor find peace
and their knowledge and health awefully increase.
