The Eternal Home Poem by norman hale

The Eternal Home

Way beyond that night sky
Where the stars twinkle Heavens song
There you will find so much more
The Eternal Home where we belong

And one day it shall open up
With a stairway coming down, it's true
And Jesus will walk down those stairs
Just to come for His chosen few

He'll cast away all our sins
And forgive us for our greed
Deep within your hearts
You'll find true loves seed

Those that have shunned Him
Shall burn in a firy Hell
There will be those try to conceive Him
But He has His way to tell

He'll carry the book of life
Under His arm, in His hand
It will carry the very names
Of every woman, child, and man

Please don't wait until that day
To kneel pray and repent
By then it will be too late
And Hell is where you'll be sent

On that day tears shall fall
On every face in the crowd
Some for pain, some for joy
And everyone screaming out loud

He already knows who's chosen
To walk to Heaven on high
As they walk up those stairs
They'll be singing 'In The Sweet By And By'

So get on your knees as soon as you can
And pray for your sins to God above
Then soon your burdens will be lifted
And your heart fills up with more love

Don't wait until those stairs are going up
For then you'll know it's too late
To have a prayer or a chance
Of going through those Pearly Gates
