The Evil Night Poem by Vera Sidhwa

The Evil Night

The Evil

Oh the evil did not stay.
The lollipops prevailed.
The evil vanquished as last
On Halloween nights' past.

Oh the evil tried to stay.
The ghosts and goblins everywhere.
The vampires and black spiders
To blame for evil everywhere.

I sense the fun that kids had.
Their pumpkin buckets filled with candy.
It made Halloween a party,
So sweet that evil could not last.
