The Garden Gate Somewhere In Fantasy Land (Revised) Poem by Heather Burns

The Garden Gate Somewhere In Fantasy Land (Revised)

Rating: 5.0

One summer evening getting
late
we met at the garden gate

You handed me a rose so sweet
dropped a petal at my feet

Lifted me into your stare
we were young standing there

Asking me return someday
when we're older look my way

Many years have come and gone
I returned to sing our song

You slipped a flower in my hair
Roses started our love affair.

Roses will bloom again, just wait and see. An absolute beauty by any criterion. Brief, flowing, tender and great emotional impact-10 plus
