The Glass Poem by miesha devres

The Glass

How do I start?
The words in my heart can't seem to break the glass
The glass that blocks my suppressed emotions
Wanting to peer out of loving eyes
Stopped by an incapability to relate
Hate; An easy mistake to make dealing with me
To handle this foreign feeling
I must crumble
Be strong enough to be weak with you
Vulnerable with no hint of caution
Love with no abandon
But I can't...
It's too hard, too difficult, too unfamiliar of a territory
Until I'm willing to take that leap of faith
My words will continue to beat ragefully at the glass
The glass that tempts them with unattainable prizes
If only they...I...we could break through

I like this one too - great way to explain yearning to love and fearing to love.
