The Great Pollenator Poem by Carl Toothman

The Great Pollenator

Mother Nature would have fallen
if not for bees with their pollen

Not knowing their significance
they continue with their presence

providing us the guarantee
to harvest fruits from vines and trees

Just try to imagine a world
where all the flowers that unfurl

will sense that it was done in vain
nor will they even feel my pain

I for one, saw the bees that flew
yet I did not know what to do

to convince the life around me
to stop the senseless rape we see

taking place right before our eyes
We're watching how a planet dies

One species took it for itself
to do exactly all they felt

in satisfying their own needs
and denying, that it was greed

The bees will now be asking you,
'What are your plans, what will you do?

And do you intend to survive
a dead Earth with nothing alive? '
