The Great Waters Poem by Victor Cruickshank

The Great Waters

Oh great entity thou maketh me calm
It is thy waves that make me still
Not only are you large but for you graciousness I will write a psalm
Thy waves and breeze sometimes give me a chill
And amongst all other liquids on this earth, thou art the best solvent
Thou are calm and cool and thou maketh thy children feel cool
I prithee, May not thy limits increase
For thy children kneel before thy stool
And we prayeth that thou giveth us peace
For some children still go to school.
