The Heavens’ Rage Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Heavens’ Rage

The rage of the heavens
Move into your house
Under
The familiar roof:
The heavens rend
The grounds asunder
The water pour, pour
All through the night
In torrents
The kerbs flow
The water dilungate
Ah! heaven’s rage
And we
We humans
That pricked heaven!
