The Hunt Poem by Luz Hanaii

The Hunt

Rating: 4.3

I cut the ties that bind you
I set you free
not that it mattered
not that you waited
for like a wild beast
you ran away to seek
fresh meat

your prey turn out to be
a hunter just like you
each at their own game
a worldly game of
deceived souls
trying to get it all
deceiving others
but mainly
themselves

Before deceiving anyone we deceive ourselves first. A thoughtful poem
