You didn't know I knew,
It was the minute you gave up,
The second you refused to try,
The moment you ceased to believe,
Yet in that moment I presented you clarity, renewed hope, and strength,
Carried you through the obstacle,
Let you regain your courage,
Enabled you to believe,
Showered you with peace and love,
Smothered you with compassion,
It was in that moment I renewed you,
Refined you,
Empowered you,
Then you flew like a butterfly,
Carefree,
Beautiful,
A reflection of the most high.
I have been impressed by this poem, the very first one that you've posted to this forum. I cordially welcome you here, a world of poets and poetry, and look forward to reading many more of your poems in the days to come. The poem's title and the last four lines are truly poetic. I have rated it 10/10. Who is the 'You' you have written about, if I may ask? The 'Poet's Notes about The Poem' is apt, I agree to it.
