The Journey Poem by Linda Engwall

The Journey

There are so many questions
so few right answers
or so I have come to believe

Tricky to try and not contemplate them all
to just move along to the rhythm of the day

Listening to these voices in our head
not allowing them to rule our destiny
as it will always seems on this path
that if we listen too closely it all becomes un-recognizable

How can we know were it should lead us
Do we explore it until there is no turning back
Or let it pull us along as it seems it must

The gift I am told is hidden in the process
So how come we don’t appreciate it until it has all passed by us

We should live in such utter fog
To not truly understand the meaning of it all

To have the journey be enough
Or is it the looking back that keeps us coming back for more of that

Are we suppose to learn or just be
Live this life as it takes us
or examines each thought till it breaks us

So you can see the questions are endless or so it seems to me
Shall I let you see the answers or just let you be?
