The Last Kiss Poem by Binoy Barman

The Last Kiss

Evening wind was in blithe mood
Eyes of parrot glowing with passion
Flowers spreading scent all around
When the goddess of love left station.

She planted the last kiss on cheek
Raising storm of snakes in vein
Waves of oceans ascended hills
When Dhaka was flooded by rain.

It was the time of big crunch
The universe crashed into her lips
A whistle blew for a new creation
Beginning and end fused in grips.

Alas! We will never see each other
Though we will meet everyday
Being separated by union for ever
A moment cost the whole life’s say.

If everything is planned by fate
What’s the use of lament, sob and sigh?
We’ve been immortal in transient frame
That is the only truth time abides by.

No joy, no sorrow, no fear of loss any more
The story is complete as an incomplete lore.
