Parting is no wonder friend,
parting is inevitable,
the moment's come, but
if you condescend to my wish,
let us have a ride with me,
a few steps together, the last steps,
let's put on a feigned smile,
and deceive the moon, the stars,
and the blossoming spring...
let's deceive our beating hearts,
forlorn and downcast,
not to let them know my dearest,
not to let them feel that
we are no more one now
as we used to be,
parted are our paths now
no wonder, sorry, no regrets,
let's betray our loneliness,
my heart is lorn of life to me
and i've submitted to my fate,
let's betray the teary eyes,
let's betray the smiles on lips
let's betray the rain and clouds,
and waves, and shores,
let's hold hands for the last time! ! !
let's have a ride for the last time! ...
The tone of the entire poem it set in the first line itself. Though we don't want to part yet destiny plays its part. If we cannot fight destiny why regret then. It is a wonderfully crafted poem.:
My favorite poem is Robert Browning's Last Ride Together. My fav lines- - -Take back the hope you gave I claim/oOnly the memory of the same.I don't know how many times I read that poem. Your poem is superb with same intensity.
one of the greatest betrayals of all time.the poet brings the reader to a world of fantasy which seems more like real aspire..........wow
it's always the way of life... once the purpose is served, things begin to fall apart! well written...
Wow! I can feel the warmth and the longing of a heart in this poem. Very beautiful. I loved the way you ended the poem. I loved it. I loved reading it. You are a fantastic Poetess.
Last ride..... Ah! Takes mind away to dream world... This last ride seems to me A ride on the Rainbow after a heavey shower of love.... Subject is no doubt a poignant and passionate....But the poet is lucky to have a memory filled of such sweet ride... The passion behind such heavenly voyage shall never get fadding.....it will ignite these feelings and passions till breathe last.... As once did Keats in his famous la bella dam sans mercy Its bliss when have love and lost, , , , , , then love can only be survived..... U r very right when saying that the outer world can never get understand the intensity of storms inside of heart.... Of strring emotion especially when love ceased to be.... Remind me lines of great Romantic figure, might be of Byron when he addressed his love with same feeling and passion.... And Did not v see keats and Fanney's theme? They Had love but distined to be broken and parted. The ultimate end of such love is a sweet melancholy which is purely a bliss for a poetic expressions.
