The Lost Sheep Poem by Randy McClave

The Lost Sheep

There was this one lost sheep
For which no one did ever weep,
A shepherd and it's flock passed him by
And the Ram pondered to itself, "why".
Why am I not needed or ever wanted
Thought the Ram as it stood sad and daunted,
As it stood alone in the middle of the road
From no one was a need or love showed.
Then thought the Ram about the passing shepherd
Thinking how he was treated like a leopard,
Then while the other sheep had passed
At him did the other sheep just laughed.
He wasn't a part of their or any prestigious flock
As he remembered the looks and a gawk,
He watched the other sheep being joyfully led
And he too wanted to be needed, and fed.
The Ram then wondered into the hills and he got lost
Then another flock of sheep's path he accidentally crossed,
Then the Shepherd of that flock walked unto the Ram Lamb
And the Shepherd said, "Follow me lost sheep, for I am".
