The Love Poem

Love is understanding
Love is compromise
Love is generosity
Love is sacrifice

Love does not discriminate
Love is free of charge
Love is the solution
Love is who we are

Love is universal
Love is heaven sent
Love was fastened to the cross
Love's greatest testament

Love is triumphant
Love is somersaults
Love is compassion
Love is free of fault

Love is forgiveness
Love offers a hand
Love is eternal
Love is His command

I enjoyed that poem for real. Keep doing what you do and mean it form the heart. You could be a famous artist if you want to be

Very nice interpretation of 1Ch13. Here is mine, I tried using the Raven's challenging rhyme pattern: http: //www.poemhunter.com/poem/love-is-105/

Even though it didn't quite fit, the result was good enough to inspire me to move on to my second (and still my best work: SUNRISE ON THE MOUNT) : http: //www.poemhunter.com/poem/sunrise-on-the-mount/

A wonderful inspirational poem indeed, although I enjoyed the total read I must say your third staza definitely stands out. You have taken the emotion LOVE and explained it in such total detail. Why most people when asked to define the word LOVE, pause and quite often say absolutely nothing. You my friend have blessed us this morning with an exceptioanlly detailed explanation of a very complex emotion. Thankfyou for doing that Brian----Melvina----

You seem to have covered all the positive aspects of love, Brian. A poem full of understanding and unguarded emotion. A lesson for all. Fine work.
    Best wishes :)

I agree with Jim, a perfectly penned testament to the most complex emotion of all. Thoughtfully composed. Justine
