I stand on the outside looking in.
I am not comforted by what I see.
Someone is in there hiding.
She is not what she appears to be.
I stare at her for a moment.
She is looking right through me.
She is the mirror within.
She is deflecting all of my animosity.
I really like the metaphor of the mirror deflecting negative feelings. And I love the progression from self-loathing to validation. Hard to do in a short poem. Very well done. I look forward to reading more of your work.

She is the mirror within. She is deflecting all of my animosity. Nice perception. Way different from your poem What Lies Beneath A word of thanks for the nice comment of Jesse Elisbury.
