Did you watch the telly
last night? It was awful!
That terrible earthquake,
and then those dreadful waves
washing hundreds away,
most of them young children;
Husbands without wives,
wives without husbands,
mums without children,
children without mums;
The morgues full of death;
And now disease
and starvation
ahead for them,
so awful we
can only
imagine
the horror.
Please, dear,
pass the
tea.
