Mind worn away
Body aches and groans
Hunger saps away every little bit of excess strength
With heavy boots scuffing the floor
Every muscle feels like lead
Dragging closer and closer to shade
Away from the suns brutal rays
Past heavy metal doors
Forehead and face greeted with a breeze of cold soothing air
Collapsing upon the soft bed
Struggling to remove the hot clothing
Sighs of relief and content
A wide grin of approval and satisfaction
After a long and tough day
One that will continue to repeat its self
But at the end it is all worth it
