The Only Question Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Only Question

Rating: 5.0

Education has become costly
Many poor families fail mostly
Children can not be sent for further studies
They lack the means and facilities

At home some basic facilities are available
Teachers too add to their woes and struggle
Not all the students get full attention
More students are ruled put for retention

Tomorrow’s future suffers at home
One teacher for so many children to welcome
No rooms with roof and forget about cupboard
Children go to school with bags full of load

Cities are far off and further study is beyond limit
Only rich can afford and feel personally fit
Rest may have to contend with whatever they could do
The life must move on with whatever they get through

Higher education is still not distant dream
Some parents can afford them
Forget about poor but middle class families too worry
More than one child makes them sorry

Living cost is beyond imagination
To own a house is subject to limitation
No home, no roof and education
Survival with honor has become the only question

social evils Johnson VdevLess than a minute ago You have elaborated on two major (both interconnected) evils that haunt the society. Poverty/education. These are two major problems we do face and are to be addressed in a big way. You have done that well. Good work..more than a poem. Thanks Comment +1 Good
