The Outcast Poem by Chelsea Lybbert

The Outcast

Rating: 5.0

Depression, loneliness, pain, rejection.
The feelings of a high school student,
A student with few friends,
And no best friends.

What happens to an individual,
When they dare to be unique,
Dare to be who they wish.
They become rejected,
Pushed away from others,
Destined to be a reject,
A weirdo, a freak.
They can't fit in,
Because they aren't 'normal',
They don't see the world,
In the same light,
As everyone else.

And the name callings,
The hurt and rejection,
The loneliness,
And depression.
Push them over the edge,
Push they to no end,
Push them to death.
And no one would ever miss her,
Because to them,
She was better off dead.
