The Palaces Round Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Palaces Round

You,
Also you.
The palaces round
The quiet square
Sire silent.

The waters trip
Out of the night
The closing of the
Keys
I hear grating.

The ghost of ice
He
Cut the glass window
With the dark
Iron.
There was a scream
Sudden and
Reverberating:
There was a scream
There was a scream
There was a scream
