The Place Of No Worry Poem by Christian Eckelkamp

The Place Of No Worry

We play as if there were no worry. As if nothing could hurt us in this quarry. There's a bunch of rock, graffiti, and broken glass but we didn't see it as that. We see it as a place of change, not something that is bad and strange. We would leave our house right before dawn. But today was a day that we shouldn't of gone but we didn't know that so we proceeded on. We were almost there and we herd someone that was near and he gave me a look as if he didn't want to be hear. I told him lets just have fun and its okay. We went closer and I saw a man dressed in all gray. He said 'Don't lead your friend if he doesn't want to play, it will just add grief and dismay.' I turned my head and asked him if he sees the old man 'What old man? ' he said. I turned my head and all there was is rock an sand. We started to clime down the wall that we were ever so used to we never thought about the fall. As we went further I hear a weird sound and saw that he was hang on with one hand about to fall to the ground. I grabed his hand and told him to hang on and that I will get you up and then my rock cracked and fell to the ground. I lost my grip and fell down down down.
