The Pouring Love Poem by Milo Lone Elk

The Pouring Love

The rain swallows everything that is left to see
As it pours, it silence all there was to be
Quietness reins over the hushed bellows throughout the night
Fighting the worth of righteous rights
As the droplets stream down the faulted line
Of angry jolts of these darken times
It has this affect of reminding the times
Of lost happiness within every thorn in my mind
As it washes away, down the drain, I look to the sun
Stabbing in the clouds, forcing the truth some way out
I continue to shout in the midst of this night
Knowing you will be there at the end of this endless fight
I will get through this, if it is the last thing I do
I will get through this, just to prove my love is true

But when the sun does not shine and our cause has burn out of time
Remember that I am still in that pouring rain, knowing our love will always be the same
