The Princess's Escort Poem by Justin Gildow

The Princess's Escort

A simple twist of fate
And opportunity that fell into my hands
On a quest of mine
On a day beaten to death with warmth and sunshine
I wore my heart on my sleeve

I became your escort
And we walked along with the Queen's Court
Standing in line, side by side
I'm on the left, you're on the right
Extening my hand out, You place your hand on top of it

I'm your escort today
And it's like an opportunity of a lifetime
I'm not sure if it'll come my way again
But thank you from me to you
We walk along with the others and the Queen
