The Prisoner's Call Poem by Asma Khan

The Prisoner's Call

Meet me in the foggy mornings
where the spring blooms
to witness our love

Meet me in the middle of the dewy nights
where the moon guards
our presence

Meet me on the snow covered peaks
where the high mountains
raise us together

Meet me in the dazzling deserts
where the heat
warms our hearts

Meet me in the corner of my eyes
where the tears roll down
seeking your attention

Meet me in the silvery dreams
where the desires rise
to reach your heart

Meet me in the secrecy of this moment
when we both are away
yet too close together!
