The Raven's Tear Poem by Cristian Carcu

The Raven's Tear

Rating: 5.0

Cristina, my love...

So many winds have blowned upon my deserts.
So many hours the Sun killed the grains of my sands.
So used was I with the silence of the freezing nights
And my sole compagnon was a lost and wounded Raven,
With whom I shared the serenity of a forthcoming death.

When the Sun embraced the Moon,
The Raven dropped a tear and said "Soon".
In his greatfull eyes I saw a moment of my life
When you appeared and bloomed.
You bloomed inside the candle of a lonely death
Like the lilies in the swamp.

The water was drained into nowhere
And my last living moment got touched
By the sound of your running blood.

Running blood inside my heart.
