The Real Eyes Poem by john tiong chunghoo

The Real Eyes

Rating: 5.0

there are so many
ways to look at the world
as many ways
as there are eyes

just ask the bulky
eyed whirring cicada?
the slit eyed hawk eagle?
the moon eyed owl?

there are as many
ways to see the world
as there are invisible eyes

the old man you see
in your reccuring dream
the images that refuse
to leave the mind
even one goes blind

the eyes you dont see
through which you see

the eyes that scan a
million world for you
to see just one world

A wonderful poem of tolerance and empathy.May you always see poetry through the windows of your soul. I especially like your second stanza. Great work, John. Warmest regards, Sandra
