The Reflection Off A Wedding Band Poem by Rhonda Baker

The Reflection Off A Wedding Band

There is lighting crashing all around
This world's oppression is all you've found
When you look upon my face
Know you have love and a warm embrace

When darkness spans as far as you can see
And you're as lonesome as you can be
Know there's shelter for you in me
My love for you is the key…

I know life's voyage can be filled with fret
But I'm someone you won't regret
Take a moment and reflect
And know all your misery I deject

I'd wither without this life with you
I'd suffocate and die…It's true!
Just know how much of me is apart of you
These lyrics here are just a clue

The waves be smashing and all sun is gone
The roads are many and life is long
With us side-by-side we can't go wrong
A sign of hope.. Is when I sing a song

We'd be happy, see some dreams come true
Grow old together…me and you
A journey traveled hand in hand
A reflecting sunset off a wedding band
