The Road From Damascus Poem by rogers monda

The Road From Damascus

Rating: 5.0

it seems it was yesterday
i swore not to let
the shackles of love
manacle my heart again
until i could breathe no more

yet, unexplained
and unlike the infatuation
i felt was love before
it crept through my heart
and chained the spirit i use to think

the signs ominous
the clouds greying
it was a sign it will rain
but its pounding, am smitten
and from my heart ache ache ache
