The Royal Event Poem by Joyce Hemsley

The Royal Event

All the Queen's horses canter along
as Britons celebrate with music and song.
What a beautiful day to catch sight of the Queen
The sun is shining, the hours are serene...
Enter the Royal 'car ~ a limousine of black,
Spectators become orderly, as they
kindly step back. Our Queen sits in State
The Prince at her side, both waving to the
people, who smile back with much pride.
