The Rules Of Love Poem by Malik-seven Navarre

The Rules Of Love

Rating: 5.0

I've loved a love that died on me;
So cold she was as stone.
She cracked and broke my heart, then she,
Left me, to die, alone.

Alone I am, and alone I stay,
So lost amongst the world.
With no love found and heart decayed,
I damn that lovely girl!

I'm all but happy in this shame,
For she left at my expense.
Being that she said I was to blame,
For I was too content.

'I did love you', she said to me.
'But love is just a lie.'
'Now please move on, and let me be.'
She spoke, then waved, 'Goodbye.'

I died inside, my lovely bride,
Just left my life with ease.
I tried, did I, but failed, my pride-
My pride left me deceased.

I might seem inexperienced,
For I met this girl last week.
And you'll find it sad, that I may have-
Proposed within that week! !

And this is why I'm going through hell.
If you were her, you'd leave as well.

...

Follow the rules of love or don't,
And have a heart attack.
For the rules are simple-
If it's love, just love and get love back.

But take out time, to let love shine.
Hold up on buying doves.
Cause you might be, stuck just like me,
These are, 'The Rules Of Love'
