Behind those dewy eyes
I find lustre, lush and solace
Which the gentle breeze of dusk
And the shade at the foot of the iroko
Cannot even compare
Her pupils, an isle i have reached
Against the surrounding torrents of this wworld of hate
Her lashes like raffia
Of which sieves love wafted into my skin
Her wholesome lids that covers me
In depth of nights
From the bitter cold
And lures my mind into the world
Where the waters of realism and fantasy
Are at confluence
And there, I have found the key
In the waters
To unlock the secret of love
This lay behind the teary eyes:
Beauty.
