The Sky Is Bedecked (Cavatina) Poem by Gert Strydom

The Sky Is Bedecked (Cavatina)

The sky is bedecked with the stars that shine,
the Milky Way
shot-gunned with millions everywhere
in their display
gleaming, glittering white, green, blue and red
quite far away
but feeling as if you can only reach out
to pluck some jewels where they are about.
