The Speedy Poem by Indira Renganathan

The Speedy

Rating: 5.0

That was not killing..but an accident
Not at all suicidal too..but an accident
Seriously damaged was the car...fatal..
A puppy outside..a baby inside..terminal

Stunned and dead dumb the steering wheel
A bloody hand.. on its empty lifeless seat
The great Driver is for ever in a hideout
Puppy and baby.. innocently pally in their exile

A meaningful poem. A wake up call to all drivers to take extreme measures with regard to safety on the road.

A vivid depiction of a tragic accident. So heart-rending. My heart goes out to the baby and the puppy.
