The Storm Poem by Samantha Young

The Storm

Your love was like a storm
One day it was there
Pouring down on me
The next it was gone with a crash of thunder
Moving onto another
Piece of land
Only to slowly make your way back to me
Well right now I'm drowning
Too flooded out to see the other side
But as your cloud passes back to that piece of land
The sun breaks through
Drying out the love that just ended up destroying me
Warmth fills my heart as the sun raises higher
No more thunder
No more lightening
No more downpours of lies
No more storms
Just the sun
