'The Sunrise' Poem by Lindemberg Pereira da Silva

'The Sunrise'

'Birds will sing our love
while the night dies
as the first lights coming from the sun
start to appear...'

I left my tears in the night,
I let the night carry them away from me.
The cold night - as cold as the autumn,
Left my broken heart in gloom and sorrow.
My dreams were wrapped by the wind
A hope of a love was dying inside me
In a cry I suffocated all my fears
Like a cry of a child
when his desires are refused.
All of a sudden I saw
the dark-blue from the sky to desappear
In my ears I could hear
The first songs of the birds
The first lights of the sun shining on my face.
In the garden I saw our love to flourish
in a small flower.
The sad autum's night
took a love's pain away from me -
All the colours from the loveliness of the spring
was rebirthing in your smile,
In every and each morning
in the sunset.
