The Tasks At Hand Poem by Rick Elpers

The Tasks At Hand

Rating: 5.0

Today the life's trail that leads
Me out into the world
Winds around the trees and stones
Lit by the sun where roads cross
Catching my attention
And although I'd like to stray
My duty to the evolving way
Demands the task be met
With full involvement
That I cannot unfulfill
Returning me away to goals
Yet known
Or hoped for
