The Tears I Weep Poem by Tod Denny

The Tears I Weep

Rating: 5.0

Neath the limb of willow tree
I ponder love through reverie.
Near bend of stream where I now stand,
From whence we held each other's hand,
And I first felt the pierce of bow
That cupid shot so long ago,
My senses wake sweet memory,
The sounds I hear ~ the sights I see.
I miss your arms holding me tight
Under the moon and stars at night.
Dreams and wishes veer awry,
The days creep ever slowly by,
My lovelorn heart still beats for two,
The tears I weep ~ I weep for you.
