The Trinity Poem by Apolitos Kanenas

The Trinity

Rating: 4.5

In the beginning there was
One
It was king of the kingdom
One
It always existed
One
Never did One have any difficulty

Then there came a destroyer
Two
It came and went as it pleased
Two
But it destroyed the kingdom
Two
It ruled through bribery, bribing One to do his bidding

Then came the poor scavenger
Three
It fed on what was left of
One
It always came after Two
Three
And it always abolished every last hope and chance of the kingdom

The trinity
One
Two
Three
One was ruler
But could easily be beaten by Two
Two was the destroyer
Who could have one to do his bidding
Three hid in the shadows
And only when Two was gone and One was too weak
Did he come out

One
Me

Two
Addiction

Three
Depression

Wow! ! Me, addiction and Depression. Lovely poem keeping suspense till the end. First I thought it was an episode from some mythology but that was not to be. It was much more than that. Hats off to you for writing and sharing this poem, Dear Poet.
