The Tyrst Poem by Silent Soliloquy

The Tyrst

Come my love...my only love

Look deeply into the emerald waters of my eyes,
where your reflection shimmers in these twin, limpid pools
See the passion unbridled I can no longer contain,
conveyed now by the gaze that seeks your own

My tresses of auburn, softly scented by the gardenia,
placed tenderly there by your gentle hand,
yearn for their freedom
Oh, what blissful thought; that your fingers would
once again caress these locks, whose disarray
is the result of those wanderers gone exploring

Take me prisoner within the confines of the arms I long for
I feel your honeyed breath brush my cheek,
like the soft sigh of the zephyr winds;
so close to your sturdy warmth that each beat
of your heart is mirrored by my own

Taste the secrets upon my lips that whisper your name
Drink deeply of their heady, ruby wine;
the intoxicating blend of love and lust
that bring us to the brink of desire, gone mad

Quench that desire at my well, where one touch
of your lips upon my own will ignite the flame
that can only be sated with my love
Hold me closer in the embrace that leaves me
breathless, and undone

No other has the key to unlock the door to this
hidden torrent of hunger waxing stronger
and sweeter with each passing moment
For you alone, my love, I willingly relinquish
the body that holds this heart

Lay me down on your magic carpet;
let us ride on the black velvet night,
where a galaxy of stars will light our way
to the destination of our tryst; that place where lovers
meet, and become as one

Come my love...my only love
